Chantilly is a high-end custom single-family residence in the City of Los Angeles, designed for a hillside setting with a refined Mediterranean-inspired architectural character. The residence combines smooth light stucco, classical balustrades, dark metal railings, curved façade elements, generous glazing, and extensive landscaping to create an elegant relationship between architecture and terrain. The spatial concept uses terraces, balconies, and stepped outdoor areas to connect interior living spaces with the surrounding hillside and garden while taking advantage of natural light and elevated views. A key design challenge was integrating a substantial residential program into the steep site while maintaining privacy, graceful circulation, and a balanced architectural presence.
