Roberto 1200 is a high-end custom single-family residence in the City of Los Angeles, designed with a contemporary architectural language that emphasizes clean geometry, natural light, and privacy. The exterior combines light stone surfaces, warm vertical wood screening, dark metal framing, broad roof overhangs, and expansive glazing to create a refined and modern material palette. The spatial concept is organized around a dramatic central glazed volume that brings daylight deep into the home while visually connecting the upper and lower levels. Terraces, planted areas, and screened outdoor spaces extend the living environment beyond the interior while maintaining privacy from neighboring properties. A key design challenge was creating an open and light-filled residence on a constrained urban site without sacrificing privacy or neighborhood scale, resulting in a sophisticated Los Angeles home with strong indoor-outdoor connections and a distinctive architectural identity.
