Sarbonne is a high-end custom single-family residence designed for a dramatic hillside setting, with an architectural concept centered on panoramic views, layered living, and seamless indoor-outdoor connections. The residence is composed of stacked horizontal volumes with expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, light stone and concrete surfaces, dark metal accents, warm wood elements, and extensive glass railings. The spatial concept follows the slope through multiple terraces and interconnected levels, allowing living spaces, bedrooms, and outdoor lounges to open toward the landscape while maximizing natural light and views. A key design challenge was integrating a substantial luxury residential program into the steep terrain while maintaining efficient circulation, privacy, and a strong relationship to the site. The result is a refined Los Angeles hillside residence with dramatic cantilevers, generous terraces, and a highly transparent contemporary character.
