Skyline 2 is a high-end custom single-family residence designed for a steep hillside setting in Los Angeles, with an architectural concept focused on adapting the home to the terrain while maximizing natural light, views, and outdoor living. The residence combines dark stucco and stone surfaces, metal cladding, expansive glazing, glass railings, and strong projecting roof forms to create a bold contemporary material palette. The spatial concept follows the slope through multiple interconnected levels, with balconies, terraces, exterior stairs, and large openings extending the living spaces toward the surrounding landscape. A key design challenge was accommodating a substantial residential program on a narrow, steep site while maintaining efficient circulation, privacy, and usable outdoor space. The result is a distinctive Los Angeles hillside residence defined by layered volumes, dramatic geometry, and a strong relationship to the terrain.
