Laura La Plante is a high-end custom single-family residence in Agoura Hills, designed for a challenging hillside site with an emphasis on vertical organization, natural light, and elevated outdoor living. The architecture combines smooth stucco and concrete surfaces with dark metal detailing, expansive glazing, glass and metal railings, and integrated landscape elements to create a clean contemporary character. The spatial concept is arranged across multiple levels, using balconies, terraces, exterior stairs, and large glazed openings to connect the interior spaces with views and outdoor areas. A key design challenge was accommodating a generous residential program on the steeply sloping site while providing efficient access, privacy, and usable exterior spaces. The result is a refined hillside residence that responds directly to the terrain through layered volumes, strong horizontal lines, and generous indoor-outdoor connections.
