Palms Marvista is a high-end custom single-family residence in Mar Vista, City of Los Angeles, designed around a sculptural contemporary language that balances privacy, natural light, and indoor-outdoor living. The architecture is defined by softly curved stucco volumes, warm vertical wood cladding, dark metal accents, integrated planting, and carefully placed glazing that gives the home a distinctive yet restrained character. The spatial concept uses layered setbacks, terraces, and sheltered outdoor areas to create a gradual transition between private interiors and the surrounding landscape. A key design challenge was achieving openness and generous daylight on an urban residential site while protecting the home from direct street exposure.
