Stradella is a high-end custom single-family residence designed for a dramatic hillside setting in Los Angeles, with an architectural concept focused on views, privacy, and layered indoor-outdoor living. The residence combines crisp light stucco and stone volumes with warm wood cladding, expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, glass railings, and dark metal accents to create a refined contemporary material palette. The spatial concept responds to the slope through stepped volumes, elevated terraces, and carefully positioned openings that bring natural light deep into the interior while framing views across the landscape. A key design challenge was integrating a substantial residential program into the steep terrain while maintaining privacy and a balanced architectural composition. The result is a sophisticated hillside home with strong horizontal lines, generous outdoor spaces, and a seamless relationship between architecture and its site.
